If you’re a traveler and a foodie then we have great news for you! On March 20, 2017, Walt Disney World revealed the menu for its new restaurant called Satu’li Canteen that will open on May 27th, 2017 in the upcoming Pandora: The World of Avatar at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Pandora: The World of Avatar, was modeled after James Cameron’s successful film, Avatar.
With the arrival of an inside peak at the food that’ll be on the menu inside the whimsical world, we can barely contain our excitement, as we count down the days until Satu’li Canteen’s grand opening.
Guests at Pandora’s Satu’li Canteen will be able to choose from a variety of “familiar dishes with a twist,” like steamed “pods,” or bao buns stuffed with either vegetable curry or cheeseburger filling, for those with less adventurous taste buds. These dreamy buns will be served with crunchy vegetable slaw and root vegetable chips, which sounds like a pretty darn good lunch to us.
The fast-casual restaurant will also feature a make-your-own option which will allow visitors to customize their own tasty avatar bowls. The base options for the bowls will include veggie and quinoa salad, sweet and red potato mash, a whole-grain rice mixture, or kale and romaine salad.
As for protein options, customers will be able to choose between sustainable fish, roast beef, wood-grilled chicken, or chili-spiced crispy tofu. Topped with sweet onion chimichurri, creamy herb dressing, or black bean vinaigrette, we expect that these bowls will be out of this world!
As far as logistics go Mobile Order will allow guests to select their food choices via the My Disney Experience app to avoid having to wait in line for a cashier at the quick service restaurant. Payment via the mobile device will be by credit card only. If you want to use the Disney Dining Plan, you’ll need to order in person, the traditional way.
