Best known for his portrayal of private investigator Thomas Magnum on the television series Magnum P.I., the sexiest man alive in my book will celebrate 25 years of marriage with his actress wife in August. Selleck spilled the beans to Good Housekeeping about why his marriage is so successful: “Hopefully you marry someone who you not only love, but who you like as well. I just still enjoy my wife’s company enormously. She’s hilariously funny, and we make a point, no matter how busy we are, to stop and spend time together. We make sure we sit down and enjoy a nice long dinner.”

Crimes of the Heart actress, Sissy Spacek, married production designer and art director, Jack Fisk, on April 13, 1974. The couple had met a year earlier while filming the movie Badlands and, when one of Fisk’s crew members walked out on the first day of shooting Phantom of the Paradise, Sissy volunteered to be set dresser. Fisk than suggested to Brian De Palma two years later, that Sissy be given the title role of Carrie in Phantom. Fisk played the art-director to Carrie, so the pair worked and lived together!

He’s a Beatle and she is a former Bond Girl, and it seems to be the perfect match since Ringo Starr and Barbara Bach’s marriage has lasted 37 years. The Beatles drummer met Bach on the set of Caveman in 1980, and they were later involved in a serious car crash but survived. “We decided we wouldn’t spend any time apart,” Starr told People in 1981. “So far the longest break was five days, and that was too long. I want to live every minute with Barbara.”

Just a year after People named Mark Harmon as the best looking man alive in 1986, the NCIS star married Mork & Mindy actress, Pam Dawber. The couple began their whirlwind romance in 1997, before tying the knot in 1999. Since taking the world media storm with their romance, the former Spice Girl and her sports star husband have also welcomed four children – sons Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz, and a daughter named Harper.

Vincent McMahon followed his father and grandfather in wrestling, but not everything was easy for him and Linda on the way to their WWE empire. He only met his father, also named Vincent, when he was 12, and even though he knew that he wanted to be involved in wrestling, he and Linda filed for bankruptcy in 1976. Now they have over $2 billion. He met the lovely Linda when she was a teenager, marrying her in 1966. Ever since then they’ve been together, through thick and thin.

Steve Carell met Nancy Walls when he was teaching an improv class in Chicago. That company is now worth billions of dollars, giving Ricky time to devote herself to other pursuits. She is a psychotherapist that has also written a book called The Hamptons: Food, Family and History. Sharon Osbourne’s father is Don Arden, the manager of Black Sabbath who got Ozzy Osbourne kicked out of the band. Interestingly, the couple met through Arden and started dating at the time. Ozzy also debuted his Blizzard of Oz album, which has sold over five million copies. He married Sharon in 1982, and the two have been together ever since. Sharon and the rest of the family became famous for The Osbournes, a reality TV show that aired from 2002 to 2005.

Annette Bening and fellow actor Warren Beatty have been married since 1992, which is impressive considering the sheer amount of affairs and love trysts he reportedly had. “You’re So Vain” is written about him, as Carly Simon confirmed in 2015, but clearly Bening sees much more in him than that. Years before his prolific Hollywood career spurned the six degrees of Kevin Bacon game — which says that Kevin Bacon worked with everyone in Hollywood or someone who worked with them, or someone who worked with them, to the sixth degree — Kevin Bacon met Kyra Sedgwick. This was back in the ’80s, and the two tied the knot in 1988. Years ago, he said, “After 14 years, it better be a real marriage, you know? We do have a great time together. We are really lucky.”

Kevin Kline married Phoebe Cates in 1989, which is the main reason we haven’t seen her recently, as she quit acting to raise their kids. You might recognize her from the iconic swimsuit scene from Fast Times at Ridgemont High, which might be where Kline saw her for the first time. The timeline adds up because they started dating in 1985 and the movie came out in 1982, but they like to keep their relationship private. “I don’t like talking about myself,” Kline famously said. “I don’t like talking about my personal life.”

Sting and Trudie Styler met while at the Royal Shakespeare Company; they were a couple since 1982 but waited ten years before becoming husband and wife. During that time, however, they welcomed four children, with only their last son Giacomo Luke being born after they were married. While Trudie has played many major roles while working at the Royal Shakespeare Company, Sting is best-known for being a member of the rock band, The Police, and for his own solo singing career.

He is the most famous member of Bruce Springsteen’s E Street Band and is known as Silvio Dante from The Sopranos, but Steven Van Zandt has another success to his name – his marriage. Moder was married at the time, but it seems he couldn’t resist the actress who has been named the world’s most beautiful woman by People a record five times.

Tom Hanks was married when he met Rita Wilson on the set of the ’80s show, Bosom Buddies. However, the actor explained that the pair had a major connection and said, “Rita and I just looked at each other and—kaboing—that was that. I asked Rita if it was the real thing for her, and it just couldn’t be denied.” Tom divorced his wife in 1987 and married Rita one year later in 1988. After 27 years of marriage, Tom said, “I still can’t believe my wife goes out with me.”

Rachel Zoe and Rodger Berman met in 1991 when they were both working in the restaurant industry, and the stylist/designer was 19-years-old. “I vividly remember the first time I saw her, wearing a tight black mini dress, high-heeled pumps, stick-straight hair, and big red lips covered in M.A.C. Chili lipstick (her trademark),” Berman said. “She was the most beautiful woman I’d ever seen.” Five years after first meeting, the couple got married in 1996 and have since welcomed two children together.

McGraw and Hill are the ultimate country music power couple. While both having extremely successful careers of their own, they have also managed to stay married for over 20 years. Hill opened for McGraw on his Spontaneous Combustion Tour, sparks flew, and the rest is history. Michael J. Fox and Tracy Pollan first met when they played love interests, Alex and Ellen, on the NBC sitcom, Family Ties. Pollan told People in 1986, “People got tired of all those glitzy, power-hungry people jumping in the sack.” Alex and Ellen have an old-fashioned relationship.
